The Challenge:
Our client needed to bring several businesses (a thriving practice, the premier line of Chinese herb supplements, and a serious academic career) under one umbrella and unify a brand that will be known for its newest endeavor—a medical spa that offers world-class accommodations alongside traditional and holistic modalities.

The Idea:
A luxe, modern brand that defies the “traditional” Chinese “medicine” genre, bringing a sense of progress and vitality to a space that is still considered by many to be “alternative.”

The Manifesto:
The body craves harmony. To be of this earth, At ease, strong, clear eyed. And, yet. It is hard for us 21st century mammals With our ancient chemistry, With our modern conveniences. We feel it all— Lives out of balance, Vibrating discord, We grasp in all directions. And, yet. What we seek asks something of us in return, To honor the body, To honor the earth. The body craves harmony. If we quiet our own voices We can hear its rushing pulse, River, wind, sun, soil. The healing order that restores us To ourselves.
