Nike

Championing safer running communities.

Millions of people run every day, but many of them run with fear, anxiety, and even PTSD because running alone can be risky. Nike recognized the fear and danger many runners face, particularly women, nonbinary people, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and BIPOC runners, who are disproportionately targeted by harassment and violence. How can we promote safety and acceptance through city running communities?

To address this, Nike partnered with Red & Co. to createa series of films as part of their “Runners Helping Runners” campaign, showcasing how running communities across Europe are tackling these safety concerns together. Featuring groups like Ultra Black Running in London, Flying Girls in Milan, and Berlin’s Wayv Run Kollektiv, the films highlighted the power of group running to provide safety, solidarity, and community. By amplifying these stories, Nike reinforced its commitment to fostering inclusivity and safety in running, shifting the narrative from fear to empowerment. To back this effort we collaborated with a BIPOC, women-owned production company.
