Fighting Climate Change
One Pint at a Time.
Red & Co.’s next CMO Chat is coming right up, in which Mira and Managing Director Brett Corrick speak with Shaun Belongie, VP, Head of Marketing at New Belgium Brewing. If you’ve sampled Fat Tire Amber Ale, the country’s first carbon-neutral-certified beer, you know it’s a perfect blend of hops, malt, yeast and water—but this company exists for an even higher purpose: to lead the industry in fighting the greenhouse gases that could, in our lifetime, destroy the natural resources that make beer even possible. Red & Co. was proud to help New Belgium launch its Fat Tire “Drink Sustainably” platform and “The Real Cost of Beer,” which transported beer lovers to 2070, when beer is projected to cost a whopping $100 per six-pack. In Fat Tire, Belongie has created a new vision for a kind of corporate activism that is not merely about taking a corporate stand, but about taking necessary steps to ensure that his company will be able to keep brewing beer for generations to come.
In a cultural moment when people are calling for businesses to have values—and live by them—Belongie has created a successful roadmap for the future.SUBMIT A QUESTION FOR Q&A
